Being a top plastic surgery clinic in Beverly Hills, it’s no surprise to us when sometimes people stereotype our community.  You know, entitled folks with wild lifestyles who rebel against regular society.  And we have to admit, Hollywood’s past is filled with debauchery and mystique, which adds to this image.

Many Beverly Hills and West Hollywood residents have been known for their legendary behavior.  The scandalous dinner parties and unsavory chatter around personal proclivities kept gossip magazines in business.  Add to that, multiple marriages and tragic backgrounds with beautiful faces continue to cast a shadow of “dark glamour” to the Hollywood persona.

Here’s a video on some of the 25 Worst Insatiable Hedonistic Actors in Hollywood History. The video has some interesting tidbits.  For instance, Marline Dietrich was one of the original gender-bending stars. She had an open marriage and she was rumored to have had affairs with both men and women. Maybe that’s not shocking today, but back in the 1930’s it was scandalous! Tyrone Power gave Errol Flynn and Clark Gable a run for their money as a leading man and sex symbol. Actress Lana Turner said Power broke her heart. It seems she got over it since she ended up getting married seven times.  And it was regular Hollywood knowledge Clark Gable pursued his leading actresses regularly, even when he was married. Several old celebrity beauty treatments were pretty questionable, too.  It’s said that 1940s actress Ida Lupino would smack her face to help keep it firm.   And back to Marlene Dietrich, she had her back molars removed to create those iconic, defined cheekbones.

In the 1930s, radium was “all the rage”. It was used in skin creams and cleansers.  The marketing was pushed by so-called “doctors,” who said it helped improve circulation and remove wrinkles.  No doubt Hollywood actresses joined in the movement at the time.

Hollywoods’ strange and glamorous history is fascinating, but it doesn’t reflect the general population.  Most folks back then, like today, were hard-working, average people living around a bigger-than-life industry.  And they had reasonable expectations for themselves. Flash forward to today. Angelenos care a lot about their appearance. That’s not a criticism. We need to own that! You can and should care about your body and its appearance. It’s a temple, after all.

Liposuction in West Hollywood is a Normal Part of Life in Los Angeles

Yes, we still have some somewhat spicy locals, but most West Hollywood area natives are pretty much like everyone else.  They are professionals and parents.  They have big hearts and help support local charities that are doing good work.  They care for their families and have dreams, too.  And like anyone else, they just want to look their best.

It’s not hedonistic to seek liposuction in West Hollywood to improve your physical appearance.  In fact, it’s become quite normal.

Liposuction in West Hollywood is easy to access too. Today’s treatments are comfortable and offer a short recovery time.  Treatments are available for women and men on either side of the “spotlight.” There are options, too!  Patients can use a general anesthetic and sleep while the procedure occurs or remain wide awake.

Today’s West Hollywood locals and other Los Angelenos may want to look their best, but they don’t need to go to extremes anymore. Treatments like liposuction are easy to access and considered a normal part of life in L.A.
